At PurpleDOT Enterprises Ltd, accessible via www.purpledotlogistics.com, we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our customers. By becoming an account holder, you agree to our terms and conditions. It is recommended that you periodically review these Terms and Conditions to stay informed of any updates.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the services provided by PurpleDOT Enterprises Ltd. (referred to as “the Company”), you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Company.

2. Shipping Orders and Services

We currently ship twice weekly on Wednesday and Friday via air freight and once via sea freight. Packages addressed correctly and delivered to our warehouse by 12 pm on shipment days will be shipped accordingly. Our warehouse is open for deliveries on weekdays until 6 pm and on Saturdays until 4 pm. The warehouse is closed on Sundays, and deliveries scheduled for Sunday will be rescheduled by the carrier.

Packages are available for delivery/pickup within 3-7 working days.

  1. After registration, you (the customer) will be provided with a shipping address and a unique mailbox number. Use this address and mailbox number to forward ordered packages to Jamaica.
  2. The Company provides shipping services based on the details specified in the shipping order. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when placing shipping orders to ensure proper identification and handling.
  3. The Company exercises reasonable care in handling and transporting packages but is not responsible for delays, damage, loss, or other issues caused by factors beyond its control, such as weather and customs inspections.
  4. Any changes to shipping orders must be communicated to the Company promptly. Additional charges may apply for changes made after the shipment has been processed.

3. Jamaica Customs

Customs duty charges apply for packages with a value of $100 USD or more. Visit the Jamaica Customs Agency’s website to stay informed about regulations and unpermitted items: https://www.jacustoms.gov.jm/.

4. Shipping Rates and Payment

  1. Shipping rates are based on factors such as package size, weight, destination, and chosen shipping method. Rates are subject to change without notice.
  2. Payment for shipping services must be made according to the Company’s payment terms. Failure to make payment may result in delays or refusal of services.
  3. Air Freight parcels weighing 12 lbs and over will incur a processing fee of $350 JMD. Sea Freight parcels weighing 15 lbs and over will incur a processing fee of $500 JMD.

5. Delivery and Pick-up Availability

  1. The Company will make reasonable efforts to deliver/have packages available for pick up within the specified timeframe, but delivery/pickup times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  2. Shipping or clearance delays caused by factors beyond the Company’s control do not entitle you to a refund or compensation.
  3. All relevant shipping documents, such as invoices, must be provided to ensure timely pick-up/delivery of packages.
  4. Packages not collected after fourteen (14) days of being ready for pick up/delivery will incur a $50 JMD per day storage fee.
  5. Packages unclaimed after thirty (30) days of being available for pickup/delivery will be sold/auctioned to recoup fees associated with bringing the package into the island.

6. Unknown Packages

Packages not properly addressed, including your unique mailbox number (e.g., PDE 12345), will incur a fee of $400 JMD.

7. Liability

  1. The Company’s liability for loss, damage, or delay to packages is limited to the lesser of the actual value of the package contents or a predetermined maximum liability, as stated in the Company’s policies.
  2. The Company is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the use of its services unless damage occurred while the package was within our care.

8. Claims

  1. Claims for loss, damage, or delay must be submitted to the Company via email at Info@purpledotlogistics.com within three (3) business days, as outlined in the Company’s claims policy.
  2. Claims must include relevant documentation, such as proof of value, photographs of damaged items, and shipping receipts.

9. Storage of Packages

Customer packages will be stored for free for up to fourteen (14) days. Customers are expected to request and receive delivery or pick up packages within fourteen (14) days of the package being made available. Packages unclaimed after fourteen (14) days will incur a storage fee of $50 JMD per day.

Customers with ‘ready to pick up’ packages must collect/schedule delivery and pay for all packages.

Packages unclaimed and unpaid for after twenty-eight (28) days will be auctioned or sold at assumed market value to recoup expenses associated with freighting the package(s) to the country.

10. Company Payment Terms

Packages are expected to be picked up or scheduled for delivery within fourteen (14) days of being available to the customer. If packages are left uncollected after fourteen (14) days, they will incur storage charges of $50 JMD daily. All freight and storage charges must be paid upon collection of the package.

All packages in our possession must be paid for to make a pickup or schedule delivery.

Prepayment: Customers requiring the use of our credit card to make a purchase must pay for the item(s) upfront. Once package(s) are available for pickup/delivery, the remaining sum for freight and storage, if applicable, must be paid to collect package(s).

Payment upon collection/delivery: Freight charges are billed to the recipient, and the customer pays for shipping and all other associated costs upon receiving packages.

Online payment: Customers can pay for packages and any other associated charges online via our website before pickup/delivery.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
